My feet, touch the ground once more
I move, slower than anyone else
I need to get there, but no hurry in that
maybe there should be, but I don't feel it
Maybe because it's just another day
And I know that eventually i'll get there
Even if it's not the place that I planned
I will know it when I get there.. for sure.
But until then, the journey is my anchor
The searching and maybe acceptance
That even if meaning surrounds me
Most of the time I won't get it
Most of the time I won't feel it
Most of the time I'll be lucky
If numbness is what I get
Because a lot of the times, when I look to the past
The loss, is the thing that will fill me
And my gauge, will once more go up
And the beast, that lurks in the shadow
Will once more, burn in my entrails
But time passes, and teaches a lesson
that time, will wait for no one
You get used to it, as you see it passing by
And one day, you look at yourself
and you'll see that you're still there
Time went by, and before you even noticed
You lived more than you thought
That you rested on all of the restlessness
And that hope will warm you sometimes
That you're, maybe, thriving... on life...
